Welcome
Photo: www.kimsallawayphotography.com

Summer solstice is soon upon us and before we know it the days will reach their longest length for the year. May your summer be full of sunshine and butterflies and a healthy helping of the great outdoors. And rest assured in the knowledge that wherever you happen to be dancing, that millions of people around the world are moving their spirits as well, connected in motion like particles of pollen in the wind. As a reader of this eZine, you are one with many thousands of like-minded dancers the world over who engage in the movement in a myriad of unique ways. Step out of your routine and try something new, invite a stranger to a dance, check out a class or workshop, or just put on your walkman and jam! Remember, we are all artists in our own special way, so take care of your inner light so that it may shine on to inspire those around you. Sending you the sweetest of summer days, so make the most of them. Shine on! ~M.M.

All the best from the Conscious Dancer Team!

Art-making is a prayer, whether expressed through yoga, dance or painting, it is a thread to the divine within. 'Alchemy of the Arts', led by Heidi Chadwick, offers retreats, combining the practices of yoga, meditation, dance, art-making, journaling and ritual, in a unique and heartfelt way.

Since the beginning of time human beings have explored art and the body, in response to and in question to the experience of life. Shamanic cultures in particular have used the arts to connect with the higher self, for healing, a medicine tool, bringing us closer to living from the resource of power within.

Creativity is our birthright!

5th Annual Mystic Garden - Gathering of the Tribes 2011

5th Annual Mystic Garden - Gathering of the Tribes 2011

Where: Lake Selmac, OR
When:July 20-25

This yearʻs focus of this new project is to move from a ʻmusic festivalʻ focus toward a "gathering" focus. Of course weʻll have great high vibe music that has always been a cornerstone at Mystic Garden events, but now the main focus and feature is US and the interactive community experience of our circles together that are making up our Gathering of the Tribes!

We envision that by gathering many our circles or "tribes" together to share our gifts and experiences be it Yoga, Ecstatic Dance, Native Traditions such as Sweat Lodges, Devotional Music, Sustainability Practices, etc. that we can all be expanded, experience growth and empowered to live more fulfilling lives. By sharing our gifts, supporting one another, and learning with more of the tools that can empower us, we can integrate these new lifestyle choices while enjoying ecstatic music & Edutainment!
